1.Provider & Our Role
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Salonify platform, apps and websites (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Salonify Europe, established in Luxembourg ("Salonify", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or making a booking or purchase, you agree to these Terms.
Salonify is an intermediation platform. When you book an appointment, the service contract is concluded directly between you and the salon or service provider (the "Salon"). Salonify is not a party to that contract and does not provide the beauty, wellness or other services itself. We facilitate discovery, scheduling and the technical processing of payments through Stripe Connect; funds are collected on behalf of the Salon (which receives the payment), and Salonify retains a commission. The Salon is the seller and the party responsible for performing the service and for any refunds due.
2.Account & Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts to use the Service
- Registration requires a valid email address, which is verified by a confirmation code before your account is activated
- You must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account
- One person may not maintain more than one customer account
- Deleting your account: you can delete your account at any time in the mobile app under Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account, or via the web. Deletion is also subject to our Privacy Policy
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used abusively, fraudulently or in breach of these Terms
3.Bookings & Appointments
Contract with the Salon
When your booking is confirmed, a service contract is formed directly between you and the Salon. Bookings are subject to availability and to confirmation by the Salon. The Salon sets the services, prices and conditions shown on its profile.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Each Salon may define its own cancellation policy, late-cancellation fees and no-show fees. Where a Salon has defined such a policy, it is shown to you before you confirm the booking and takes precedence.
Default rule: if a Salon has not set its own policy, you may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. Where supported by the Salon, you may also reschedule.
No-show system
If you fail to attend a confirmed appointment without cancelling in time, the Salon may charge a no-show fee in accordance with its policy (shown at booking as a percentage of the service price or a fixed amount). Salons may also block customers from booking online after repeated no-shows. Where a block is in place, you may be able to restore online booking by paying the applicable penalty.
4.Payments
- You can pay online through Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and saved cards) or in person at the Salon, depending on what the Salon offers
- Some Salons require a deposit at the time of booking; the deposit is applied to the final price or handled according to the Salon's cancellation policy
- Tips are entirely voluntary and are paid out 100% to the Salon
- Prices are shown including applicable VAT. You always pay the displayed price; platform and payment-processing fees are borne by the Salon
- Refunds are owed by the Salon and are issued through Stripe. Salonify executes refunds on the Salon's behalf where the Salon's policy or applicable law provides for one; the amount and eligibility are determined by the Salon's policy and your mandatory consumer rights
5.Salonify Balance
- Salonify Balance is store credit that arises only from refunds or credits issued to you. It cannot be topped up or purchased
- Your Balance does not expire and can be redeemed at participating Salons or for eligible platform purchases
- Balance is not redeemable for cash, except where mandatory law requires a cash payout
6.Gift Cards
- Salonify offers Salon gift cards and Salonify gift cards. Each gift card is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase
- Gift cards are not redeemable for cash. Any remaining balance stays available until the expiry date
- Gift cards may only be redeemed where indicated (the issuing Salon or, for Salonify gift cards, participating Salons and platform purchases)
7.Salon Memberships
- Salons may offer memberships billed on a recurring monthly or yearly basis. Memberships renew automatically until cancelled
- You can cancel a membership at any time in the app or on the web; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then
- Memberships include the benefits described at purchase, either as a set quota per billing period or as unlimited use. Unused quota expires at the end of each billing period and does not carry over
- 14-day right of withdrawal: as a consumer you may withdraw from a new membership within 14 days of conclusion without giving reasons. If you ask us to start providing the membership benefits immediately and you redeem benefits during this period, you expressly consent to this and acknowledge that, on withdrawal, you must pay an amount proportionate to the benefits already used up to the point of withdrawal
8.Marketplace Orders
- For products bought on the marketplace, the seller is the respective Salon or shop, which is your contractual partner for the sale. Salonify provides the platform and processes payment
- 14-day right of withdrawal: as a consumer you may withdraw from a product purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving reasons, using the model withdrawal form below or any clear statement
- Return costs: if you withdraw, you bear the direct cost of returning the goods
- Exceptions: the right of withdrawal does not apply to certain goods under Art. 16 of the Consumer Rights Directive, including sealed hygiene or cosmetic items that have been unsealed after delivery, goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and goods that are liable to deteriorate quickly
- Shipping is carried out according to the shop's stated delivery options, costs and timelines
9.Model Withdrawal Form

10.Salonify Work
Salonify Work is an employer-benefit programme. Companies load a budget that their employees can use to pay for bookings.
- Unused company budget is refunded to the company when the agreement ends
- When an employee leaves, their allocated budget returns to the company pool
- Work credit cannot be paid out in cash to employees, cannot be used to leave tips, and cannot be combined with gift cards or Salonify Balance
11.Reviews & Content
- Only customers with a completed booking may leave a review, so that ratings are shown as verified reviews. Reviews must be honest, relevant and respectful
- Prohibited content includes anything illegal, defamatory, insulting or hateful, factually false statements, spam, and content aimed at manipulating competition or ratings
- Notice and action: any review or content can be reported using the report function. We do not pre-censor content; we review reports, take a decision and, where we remove or restrict content, provide a statement of reasons to the affected user
- Complaints: if you disagree with a moderation decision, you may lodge a complaint with our internal complaint-handling point at [email protected], in line with the EU Digital Services Act
- Salons may publicly respond to reviews about them
12.Loyalty & Promotions
- Salons may run loyalty programmes using points or stamps. Points and stamps have no cash value, are not transferable, and expire in accordance with the relevant Salon's programme rules
- Coupons, promotional codes and referral rewards are subject to the specific conditions shown at the time of the offer and may be withdrawn or limited
- Salonify may modify or discontinue loyalty programmes and promotions where reasonable, subject to your acquired rights
13.Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, abusive, threatening or otherwise objectionable
- Harass, intimidate or abuse other users or Salon staff
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Use the Service for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent security, payment or content moderation measures, or scrape or misuse the Service
Violations may result in content removal and the suspension or termination of your account.
14.Liability
Salonify acts only as an intermediation platform. We are not responsible for the performance, quality, safety or legality of the services or products provided by Salons, which are solely responsible to you under the contract concluded between you and them.
To the extent permitted by law, Salonify is liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for breaches of essential contractual obligations (limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage). Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including your statutory consumer rights.
15.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or to legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by appropriate means and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16.Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg, and the courts of Luxembourg City have jurisdiction. As a consumer, you also enjoy the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, which remain unaffected, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where the law so provides.
The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued in July 2025 and is no longer available. Salonify is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
